Directions Asbury Chapel is located in Hopewell, OH about 9 mi. west of Zanesville or 4.5 mi. east of Brownsville. The Exits East and West are different. From Columbus: Take I-70 East to Rt. 668/ Brownsville Exit. Go Left (North) for .8 mi. to Brownsville. Turn Right on Rt. 40. Go 4.5 Mi. to Hopewell Road. From the East: Take 70 West to the Gratiot Exit at Mt. Perry Road. Turn north to Rt. 40 and turn right. Go approx. 3 mi. to Hopewell Road. Then, coming East or West - You will be turning right on Hopewell Road just past the gas station (which is on the left). Turn south (right) on Hopewell Road and go 2.4 miles. (Veer to the left at the fork in the road.) Follow Signs. The Chapel is in the triangle of Hopewell, Coopermill and Asbury Chapel Rds. Look to the left into the triangle. From Newark: Take St. Rt. 16 East to Rt. 668 (Brownsville Rd.) turn south (right) and travel until 668 dead-ends into St. Rt. 40. You will be in Brownsville. Turn east (left) and go approximately 5 miles to Hopewell, Oh. (There is a sign on the right side of St. Rt. 40 that says Hopewell, there is a gas station on the left and there is a big farm on the right corner where you turn) Turn south (right ) on Hopewell Rd. (You will see a sign that says Crystal Springs Golf Club on the left side of St. Rt. 40. & a little white Methodist church do not go there) Go right 2.4 miles south on Hopewell Rd., and look to the left. You will see the brick chapel in the tri-angle of Hopewell., Coopermill, and Asbury chapel Rds. There is a big sign in the parking lot that says Asbury Chapel. Or from Lancaster: Bear in mind that after you get on 204, road signs are rare. Even so, it pretty much a straight shot to the chapel.
